HOW TO GET AN HERMÈS BIRKIN, KELLY (OR WHATEVER ELSE YOUR HEART DESIRES!!

Ok, so we all know that these bags aren't exactly easy to get your hands on and if you've searched online, or watched a few YouTube videos you'll probably know by now that the recommended way is to befriend an Hermès SA, buy lots of other items and basically keep your fingers crossed that they eventually offer you something you may like!

Some people get really lucky and just have to wait a while without the purchase history. Or you could apply to the Hermès lottery for an appointment at one of the three Paris boutiques, but there are 10s of thousands of people trying that every day, so chances are slim and even then there is no guarantee they will offer you something.

As we don't all have the time, patience (or money!) to try the above, the resale market is the only other real option.

Whilst a brand new 'box fresh' bag is a wonderful thing, the price is usually at least twice the boutique price and in the case of a smaller bag may be as much as three or four times the price!

If however you look for a bag that is slightly older / lightly used there are some great options out there at far more realistic prices, and lets face it, these bags are made to last, find a good one and it will last you decades. Especially as Hermès will still maintain a bag at their bag 'spa' even if you aren't the original purchaser. (Just make sure no one else has worked on the bag previously).

Below is a list of places I have had good experiences with and trust.

Please do your own due diligence with regards to each individual bag. Ask for extra photos to check the condition if you are unable to visit the store in person.

Whilst I trust all of these it never hurts to have extra peace of mind!

If you wish to obtain a second authentication then Bababebi is highly regarded for Hermès.
